Samantha walked down the walkway in the park, still holding Genes hand. Every once and a while caching a glipms of his eyes and then looking at the sky.

Gene looked at the sky which was now dark and the stars were just begining to twinkle in the darkness. Gene smiled as he saw that it was almost dark enough. He turned his gaze towards Samantha and saw her look over at him a few times.

Samantha kept walking. She wondered what she should say. Or if she should say anything at all. She kept walking. She was sure he spotted her looking at him, so she resorted to staring at the ground. But yet still smiling. She enjoyed his company so much. He made here fell like she did at home, when she was a child. And she would engulf herself into her mothers work. This felt like a new world with him. And even though they didn't have the same power, she felt so conected to him.

Gene slowed down as he looked at the tree that Samantha had hid behind the first time he met her. It seemd like such a long time ago but he knew it had only happened a short while ago. Some of the ashes from the leaves he had burnt remained on the ground and swiled around the tree almost as if they were hesitiant to leave it. He looked at Samantha who was looking at the ground.

Samantha looked up for a moment as the small bit of sun in the sky, that fourced the sky to stay a monatone blue, had left. It would have been pitch dark, if not for the street laps that lined the park walk way.
The moon was full and beautiful tonight. The stars twinkled up above. A light breeze filled the air. It had the light aroma of fall on it's way. ((Assuming it summer))
She looked back at Gene. and stopped. "So what now?...." She asked.

Gene tilted his head as he looked towards Samantha."What do you mean." he said playfully as he let go of her hand and stood infront of her. He smiled innocently as he glanced towards a clearing in the field. He had wanted to try out his surprise elsewhere but this was just as romantic. He was glad he had planned ahead and had hid "It" out here.

Samantha laughed at his playful attempt to ignore her question. "Well are we just walking all night, or are we going to sit or something. I don't know..." Samantha was impatient. She wanted something to happen. Them to do something. Anything. She wanted to kiss him, but she thought it to forthcoming. She decided to wait until the end of the night. And to let him make the first move, if he did.

Gene nodded as he sat down in the center of the clearing. He looked up at the night sky and the moon that hung over head. He looked over towards Samantha and smiled. He wonder what Samantha thought would happen. He closed his eyes as he tried to play out what he had to do to get the surprise to work and what would happen after.

Samantha looked at Gene oddly for a moment, but then surrendered her curiosity and joined him in sitting. They were in a huge clearing in the middle of the park. She wasn't quite sure what was going on. Her constant doubting of what she really wanted to happen, kept that idea out of her head. She no longer wished he would kiss her, and fire works would go off in her head. She just assumed they would lay down and gaze at the stars. She didn't like to settle, but as long as Gene was with her she didn't care....

Gene grinned as he watched her sit down and he looked up at the stars for a few moments."Wait here." he said as he quickly jumped up and ran toward a small wooded area. He walked over to a large bush and and pushed up the bottom branches. There sat his surprise. He wrestled with it as he attempted to pull it out and raised it triumphantly as he finally got it out.
